Based on the line weight given it can dif part of the drawing.

Because different width of lines have its own specific function which convey the meaning of line while we are reading the drawing. EG. The center line have a specified width with dotted formation so, we can identify the center line.

We use thin lines for dimensions, thick lines for the actual drawing.

As per my thoughts, it describes the major of line type in which the hidden lines provided with a less line width so it gives light in visual when compared to other lines thus the operators can easily identify the difference in drawing.
