Right angle should be in the bottom in the correct answer.

The triangle is not the right side up. It wouldn't be able to fit into the figure.

@Hana! That is true, the right angle triangle is not well positioned. Option D is the right answer but is not well positioned.

The answer is not and is D, because the angle is wrong but the pattern inside of it is right the whole figure just needs to be flipped upside down.

I think we are being tested on recognizing the pattern as well as placing it accordingly to fit into the complete picture. We need to rotate it. So as to fit in the picture! Double work but I agree it is not well positioned and I think we are expected to find the missing link and not re-positioning it!

It can't be C as the line is bisecting the smaller triangle.
