1.

Observe the dots on a dice (one to six dots) in the following figures. How many dots are contained on the face opposite to that containing four dots?

2

6
Cannot be determined
Answer: Option
Explanation:

We shall assume the dice in fig. (ii) to be rotated so that the 5 dots appear at the same position as in fig. (i) i.e. on RHS face (i.e. on face II as per activity 1) and 1 dot appears at the same position as in fig; (i) i.e. on Front face (i.e. on face I). Then, from the, two figures, 2 dots appear on the top face (i.e. on face V) and 4 dots appear on the Bottom face (i.e. on face VI).

Since, these two faces are opposite to each other, therefore, two dots are contained on the face opposite to that containing four dots.

Please correct me if you disagree.

Here Figures I and ii share NO common side. I think it is fairly obvious if you pay attention to the orientation between the "1 dot" and "5 dot" surfaces on both figures. This means that all 3 sides of Figure II must correspond to the 3 unknown sides of Figure i. There are multiple possible orientations on how Figure II can rotate to fit into the three unknown sides of figure i. But since we know that the "four dot" on Figure ii must be on one of the unknown sides of Figure i. The possible answers are "1, 2, 5" and hence the correct answer is option A: "2 dots".

Guys here is a trick.

If two dice are provided with two sides common, here in this dice 1 and 5 are common therefore remaining sides that are 2 and 4 are opposite to each other.

Sir, it would be 1, because it is a standard dice. And 5 is common in both dice and the place is also same. So opposite of 4 would be 1.

@Raksh.

1 is also common in both the dices, uncommon no is opposite to each other therefore 2 opposite of 4. It's a general dice.

As both dice have two common sides (1&5 dots),
So the rest side should opposite to each other,
That's why the answer is 2.

The two dice are given with two common sides (1, 5) that is why the remaining side 4 and 2 are opposite.
