Option E could also be correct since if you fold them in half from the vertical axis, that is the only one that does not match.

All of the figures are stable and could sit on a table except (2) which sits on a vertex.

Item 2 is the only one sitting on a point. All others are sitting on a flat surface - so why not 2?
