What is ACLs?

ACL is a set of data that informs computer operating system which permissions or access rights that each user group has.

What is router?

Router works network layer.

It routes packets according to the routing table.

Which it maintains statically and dynamically.

What is ACLs? and what is main purpose of ACLs. Where it is work? any one known then explain it.

ACLs are lists of instructions you apply to a router's interface. These lists tell the router what kinds of packets to accept and what kinds of packets to deny. Acceptance and denial can be based on certain specifications, such as source address, destination address and port number. ACLs enable you to manage traffic and scan specific packets by applying the ACL to a router interface. Any traffic going through the interface is tested against certain conditions that are part of the ACL.

Access control list has two type of security first standard and second extended both used to configuration security on a router.
