When a substance is added to a SOLID medium which inhibits the growth of unwanted bacteria and favours the growth of wanted bacteria, it is known as SELECTIVE MEDIA.
But the question are, When a substance is added to a LIQUID medium which inhibits the growth of unwanted bacteria and favors the growth of wanted bacteria, it is known as ENRICHMENT MEDIA. So Enrichment media is the correct answer.

When a substance is added to a solid medium which inhibits the growth of unwanted bacteria but permits the growth of wanted bacteria, it is known as a selective medium.

Enrichment media is correct because:
1. Liquid Media.
2. Chemicals are added upon requirement, unlike selective media, no chemicals are added later.

Selective media is the correct answer because it favors the growth of particular microorganisms and inhibits the growth of other microorganisms.

Both enrichment and selective media are correct. The only difference is that enrichment media is liquid while selective media is solid.

Enrichment media is liquid while selective media is solid. So according to the question, for liquid, enrichment media is correct.
