Mostly Gram negative bacteria's are said to be motile but some of them are also non-motile. Gram Positive bacteria's don't have flagella and are said to be non-motile organisms.

Fimbriae are not used for locomotion they used for attachment and exchange of genetic material during the conjugation. You're wrong when you say fimbriae used for motility.

You are right @Dancan.

Fimbriae are not used for locomotion they are used for attachment and exchange of genetic material during conjugation.

Generally, fimbriae occur in Gram-negative bacteria but it also occurs in some gram-positive and some archaea.

Why option C is not the correct answer?

If so, Why not option C is the correct answer?

I thought that C would be the best option, but why B?

Many (not all) gram- bacteria contain fimbriae and some gram+ also.

So, the option C is the best for me.

No, @Stella.

Because many, not all gram+ bacteria have fimbriae but all grame- bacteria have fimbriae. That's why gram (-) was the better answer I think.

Yes, @Saurabh.

The fimbriae occur in gram - bacteria so I also think option B is correct.
