Cut off should be zero, and if we talk about cutoffs ratio it should be 1.

How the volume can be zero. If not then How the Division of Non zero value can be Zero. It should be 1.

Cutoff ratio never falls to 0. So, the answer should be 1.

Cut off ratio is should be 1. Then only diesel cycle approaches to Otto cycle efficiency. Cut off and cut off ratio both are different.

Zero is not the right answer.
V2/V1 is the cut off ratio. If it is zero, there is no meaning in it. In diesel cycle heat addition is done in the isobaric process (V2/V1). If that to be changed to isochoric process (V2/V1), it should be 1. Hence it is V1=V2.

Definitely, the answer is zero. It cannot be 1, because if 1 is inserted in an equation of efficiency of diesel cycle.
It becomes indeterminate numbers.
