In the universe, it is always positive (either heat removed/added).
But, for a system, it is positive while heat is added and negative when heat is removed.
But, for a system, it is positive while heat is added and negative when heat is removed.

Ds = DQ/T, Heat is removed so DQ < 0 so Ds < 0.
