The given answer if wrong.

The correct answer is option A.

When a body vibrates under influence of force is called Forced vibration. But when its amplitude reduces due friction then it is know as Damped vibration.

The answer is C.

Forced vibration is when a time-varying disturbance (load, displacement or velocity) is applied to a mechanical system. i.e by the influence of an external force.

C could have been the correct answer if the term "periodic" was written over there and A can never be the correct answer.

I Also agree with Thorat Ganpati and the answer is only C because in force vibration amplitude not decrease every cycle.

Thorat ganpati said:   1 decade ago
Why only A?, C can also be the answer because in forced vibration the body vibrates under external influence of force.

Beacuse when the amplitude reduces after every cycle that vibrations are called damped vibrations.

The Right Answer must be C, as body vibrates with external force during Forced vibrations.

Option A is for undamped free vibration, and here the right answer is C.

Yeah! I agree with you @Thorat Ganpati.

Answer should be option C.

Absolutely option C is the correct answer.
