Here area = ( 2*l ) * ( s/√2 ).
Tensile strength = stress * Area = σt * √2 * s *l.

The tensile strength of the welded joint for single fillet= (s.l.6t)/√2=0.707s.l.6t.
Hence for double fillet =√2s.l.6t.
6= σ.
