The answer is correct because bending stresss=bending moment/section modulus. So the stress and modulus are inversely proportional to each other.

The answer ss C because bending stress =M/Z.

Where z is called as section modulus, therefore bending stress is inversely proportional to Z.

Bending STRESS is inversely proportional to Z while bending MOMENT is directly proportional to Z. So, the answer is correct.

(c) is the right Answer.

As;.

M/I=σ/Y and I/Y=Z.

So M=Z*σ => σ is inversely proportional to Z.

Bending stress, sigma b=pe/Z.

So, if bending stress increases then section modulus decreases.

It's answer is increase because M/Z so that Z increase while M increase.

Answer is increases because M is directly proportional to Z.
