Surface finish is poor too.

Smooth for soft material. But for hard the surface finish is poor.

Answer C is right.

MRR= ECM>EDM>USM>EBM>LSM.

Ultrasonic machining is a slow process so it can't remove large amount of materials. Now a days piezo crystals are used in ultrasonic machining.

Machining process always removed less material.

The mechanism of material removal in usm is brittle fracture. Tool material should be soft. Material removal depends of flow rate of abrasive particles, size of abrasive. And material removal rate is maximum in edm and less in ebm.

Ultrasonic machining is used for brittle materials especially glasses are cut by this method.

The tool never contacts the work piece and as a result the grinding pressure is rarely more than 2 pounds, which makes this operation perfect for machining extremely hard and brittle materials, such as glass, sapphire, ruby, diamond, and ceramics.

Answer should be A. Material removal is more as compared to other non-conventional machining like LBM and EBM etc

Yes, I too think the answer should be A.
