Fuel inject (spray) by a nozzle in cylinder not by valve. So there is two valve-inlet & exhaust.

It has actually two valves. First is inlet & other is outlet FI working like Valve. :).

In case of two stroke engines there are 3 ports but in 4 stroke engines only two valves.

There are Only two valves in a diesel engine. The fuel injector is not a valve.

I think the answer is two valve is right because fuel injector injects through nozzle.

There is no fuel injector valve in CI engine. But FI works like a valve function.

Diesel engine may have 2 or 4 valves. It has one injection port to inject diesel.
