Diesel has cetane number those fuels have cetane number, very high compressed need to burn the fuels so diesel engines are C.I engines.

Because In diesel Engine, air is compressed. And there is no spark is created by the diesel engine. So it said to be C.I. Engine.

In diesel engines air is get compressed in the engine before fuel injection occurrence in power stroke. So that it is CI engine.

In diesel engines we did not use spark, the air is compressed with high C.R AROUND 16-20, it is higher than s.i engines.

The diesel engine is also known as compression ignition engine.

Diesel engines work by compressing only the air.

Compressor ratio of diesel engine have so high, mixture of air and diesel reach self burning temperature.

In diesel engine first compressed at high temperature of fuel then it is injected in combustion chamber.

Because in diesel engine spark is not produced that's why it is not a spark ignition engine.

Yes, That is right, how an ignition is taking place because of compression? Explain please.

The fuel is compressed unlike ignition by sparks in petrol engines.
