                dq/q= dl/l+ n dh/h.
For triangular notch no dl/l;
Above n= 5/2 for triangular.
n = 3/2 for rectangular.
Answer for triangular DQ/q= 5/2 * 1% = 2.5%.
For rectangular will be 1.5%.

                Discharge over triangular notch = (5/2)*(4/100) = 2.5.

                For triangular notch, it is 2.5.
For rectangular it is 1.5.
                For rectangular it is 1.5.

                Head over the crest of a notch will produce 1.5% error and head over the apex of the notch will produce an error of 2.5%.

                     (1)

                Head over the crest of a notch will produce 1.5% error and head over the apex of the notch will produce an error of 2.5%. So the answer is B.
