Dynamic viscosity of mercury is more than water, but for kinematic viscosity, density of mercury is much more higher than water so kinematic viscosity of mercury is lower than water.

Since the density of mercury is 13600 kg/cubic meter and density of water is 1000 kg/cubic meter. So mercury is more dense than the water hence its viscosity is higher than water.

Kinematic viscosity of water is higher than that of mercury.
But dynamic is less than of mercury.
Because of the density of mercury is higher (13593) than of water (997).

Dynamic viscosity of mercury is higher then water. But kinematic viscosity (dynamic viscosity/ density). So kinematic viscosity of mercury is less than water.

The dynamic viscosity of mercury is 1.52 and water is 0.894 cp but the kinematic viscosity is smaller for mercury because it has large density than water.

Shear stress develop in water is more than mercury. As viscosity is directly proportional to shear stress.

So water has higher viscous property than Hg.

Dynamic viscosity of Hg is greater than that of water whereas kinematic viscosity of water is greater than that of Hg (bcz density is higher for Hg).

Dynamic viscosity of mercury is more than dynamic viscosity of water but kinematic viscosity is less because of mercury is denser than the water.

Viscosity of water is less than that of Mercury, while kinematic viscosity of water is greater than that of Hg. Because it is viscosity/density.

Ap.gr.pf water is 1 and sp.gr.of mercury is 13.6 and viscous force depend sp.gr. that's way viscosity of water is less than that of mercury.
