According to the given option, the Correct Answer will be D.
For High Head, we use Centrifugal pump in series connection.
For High Discharge, we use Centrifugal pump in Parallel connection.
And Centrifugal pump is also used for pumping Viscous Fluid.
So the correct answer will be D.

Multistage can be anything, it can be pumps arranged in series or pump arranged in parallel.
So, D is the correct answer.
If pumps are arranged in series it will produce high heads and in parallel it will give more discharge.

Multistaging of can be done in different ways, it may be in series or parallel.
If it is connected in series it produce more head and if it is connected in parallel it gives more discharge.
So question is improper to answer.

Multistage can produce both high heads and high discharge.

Multi-stage can be done in any desirous conditions required whether it may in vertical or in horizontal position etc so it can produce the both high head and high discharge, so the given option is not appropriate.

Multi-stage means more than one stage. It may be in series or in parallel.
In parallel, it produces more discharge and in series produce more head.
