If we connect the centifugal pump in series it will develop high head.

According to the given option, the Correct Answer will be D.
For High Head, we use Centrifugal pump in series connection.
For High Discharge, we use Centrifugal pump in Parallel connection.
And Centrifugal pump is also used for pumping Viscous Fluid.
So the correct answer will be D.

Option A & B are correct. Series it produce high head and Parrllel produce high discharge.

Multi-stage can be done in any desirous conditions required whether it may in vertical or in horizontal position etc so it can produce the both high head and high discharge, so the given option is not appropriate.
