When α is absorptivity, ρ is reflectivity and τ is transmittivity, then for a diathermanous body,
α = 1, ρ = 0 and τ = 0
α = 0, ρ = 1 and τ = 0
α = 0, ρ = 0 and τ = 1
α + ρ = 1 and τ = 0

Diathermanous body is a body which transmits all the incident radiation without absorbing or reflecting. (A body with transmitivity 1, reflectivity 0 and absorptivity 0) Air, up to certain extent can be considered as the diathermanous body because, it transmits all the radiation without hearing itself.

When α is absorptivity, ρ is reflectivity and τ is transmissivity, then for a diathermanous body,

For a transparent body α=0, ρ=0, τ=1, and Є < Transparent body is also called a Diathermanous body.

So, I think the given answer is wrong.

Given answer is wrong.

No, it is wrong.

Because of T=0 for Opaque body.

The diathermanous body is a transparent body : T=1.

C is the correct answer T=1 (transmittivity is 1 for diathermanous).
