The eutectoid reaction takes place at 0.8 %c and at 727'c.

A steel with carbon above 0.8% is known as hyper-eutectoid steel.

A steel with carbon bellow 0.8% is known as hypo-eutectoid steel.

Carbon With 0.8% is eutectoid, with 0.8 to 1.5 % is hypoeutectoid and 1.5 to 6% carbon is hypereutectoid steel.

0 - 0.8 is Hypo Eutectoid.
0.8 - 2.0 is hyper Eutectoid.
2.0 - 4.3 is Hypo Eutectic.
So, 4.3 - 6.7 is hyper Eutectic.

0 - 0.8 (hypo-eutectoid steel).
0.8 - 2 (hyper-eutectoid steel).
2 - 4.3 (hypo-eutectic steel).
4.3 - 6.7 (hyper-eutectic steel).
