So microscope is the correct answer which was not present in above options (optical microscope is the wrong answer).

Basically, the answer is right i.e D.
We examined as Microscope.
But in the case, for more revolution we use Optical Microscope.
In question, it is not asked as more or high revolution. So the answer is Microscope only.
Which is not in question so answer D is correct.

Answer is D. Because Micro-structure of material is generally examine by Metallurgical microscope, since the materials are opaque, therefore their structural constituents are studied under reflected light.

There is the difference between microstructure and nanostructure.
Microstructure - microscope.
Nanostructure - optical microscope.

Microstructure of any material is mostly examined by Optical Microscope. So option (B) Optical Microscope is the right answer.
