Spheroidal cast iron has graphite in the form of spheroid, not in the form of flakes. So this is also known as nodular cast iron.

If mg added to grey cast iron it forms graphite in the form of spheroid instead of graphite flakes, then this cast iron is called as Spheroidal grey cast iron or nodular cast iron.
