Resilience is the property of a material to absorb energy in the elastic range but energy for the plastic range is called toughness.

Here answer D is correct.

Plastic means toughness.

Elastic means resilience.

The area under the load-elongation curve within an elastic limit is called resilience.
The area under stress-strain curve up to fracture point is called as toughness.
So, as it is given energy absorbed within plastic range hence it must be TOUGHNESS.

The ability of a material to absorb energy in plastic deformation till the point of fracture is known as toughness. Toughness is indicated by the total area under the stress strain curve up to the fracture point.

Resilience is wrong answer, toughness is energy absorbed by the material up to fracture.

Energy absorbed within elastic range is resilience while energy absorbed within elastic and plastic range is toughness.

If we say at break point then toughness is the right answer.
