Wrong, reheating increases the mean temperature of heat rejection thus decreases thermal efficiency and increases specific work output.

Reheating increases turbine work but at the same time there is increase in the heat supplied so it is tough to say the effect on thermal efficiency. But turbine work obviously increases.

Turbine work is increased, efficiency may increase or decrease.

The correct answer should be option D.

Please tell me the correct answer. It's confusing.

Answer C it causes the increase in temperature which causes a turbine to melt and increase in work done.

I think Option C is correct.

Bibin Emmanuvel said:   8 years ago
I think the Correct Answer is C, D.

Turbine work increases. A and D are ambiguous.

It increases Turbine Work always.

And efficiency may increase or decrease depending on mean temp. Of heat addition.
