Which of the following statement is correct?
The ratio of the discharge pressure to the inlet pressure of air is called compressor efficiency.
The compression ratio for the compressor is always greater than unity.
The compressor capacity is the ratio of workdone per cycle to the stroke volume.
During isothermal compression of air, the workdone in a compressor is maximum.

Compressor efficiency is measured in terms of temperature, not in pressure from ideal case to the actual case.

Here asked about compression ratio, not the pressure ratio. Pressure ratio will be greater than one and compression ration will be less than one so the answer is A.

Final compressed air's volume is always less (because after compressing volume become smaller) than the inlet uncompressed ir, so compression ration will not be greater than unity.

As for compressor the final volume always greater than initial pressure so the compressor is always greater than unity.

On my instinct unity means final condition is greater than initial condition or 1.

The compression depends upon pressure, right?

Compression ratio depend on pressure.
