Journal is wrong answer. Small end is connected to the piston (top) and big end is connected to crank arm (bottom).

Small end attaches to the piston pin, gudgeon pin or wrist pin, which is currently most often press fit into the connecting rod but can swivel in the piston, a "floating wrist pin" design. The big end connects to the crankpin (bearing journal) on the crank throw.

The bigger end is not directly connected to the crank arm. In between that, there is a bearing called Journal Bearing. So, the answer is correct from my point of view.
