The answer should be D.

According to me, the answer is D as the statement is about the non-conventional source. There is no information about any exploitation and way/technique for replacing the conventional source of energy.

According to me, the answer should be D as it has mentioned about the replacement of conventional source of energy also no where mentioned about exploitation of the environment.

Statement says 'that non-conventional energy use will eliminate the energy crisis'. It may be taken as, that we have and are using a conventional source of energy as of now. And due its excessive use or exploitation, it is depleting. And now we have to find another source to feed our energy needs. And the answer to the present energy crisis is non-conventional energy.

But we are not given anything about the present situation vis-a-vis technology in the statement.

Hence answer should be B.

The cause of the crisis is not stated at all, the world might as well have been in crisis from the start.

Also it doesn't say if non-conventional sources exist or are in progress of being made.

So the answer should be D.

The answer should be B since it is no where given that the work has been started to replace conventional source of energy only 2nd statement can be concluded.
