Statements: Domestic demand has been increasing faster than the production of indigenous crude oil.

Conclusions:

  1. Crude oil must be imported.
  2. Domestic demand should be reduced.
Only conclusion I follows
Only conclusion II follows
Either I or II follows
Neither I nor II follows
Both I and II follow
Answer: Option
Explanation:
The statement mentions that demand for oil is increasing faster than the production. So, either the demand must be reduced or oil must be imported to cope with the increasing demand. Thus, either I or II follows.

Option A seems correct to me as oil is a prerequisite for several industries and domestic consumption, so demand for it is something that you cannot reduce forcibly.

Option E is right,as both options can be worked upon to improve the scenario.
