Statement: Because of the large number of potholes in road X, reaching airport in time has become difficult.
Assumptions:
- Reaching airport in time may not be always necessary.
- There is no other convenient road to the airport.
Answer: Option
Explanation:
The statement presents the issue of 'not reaching airport in time' as a problem. This means that reaching airport in time is necessary. So, I is not implicit. Besides, it is mentioned that reaching airport in time has become difficult due to large number of potholes in road X. This implies that road X is the only possible way. So, II is implicit.

The use of the phrase "Has become difficult" suggests that THE problem of reaching the airport in time Exists at PRESENT. And if there was another road, there would not be such emphasis on the problem. Also, the Road X (i.e is the name of the road) is a normal way of reference during conversations.

No, II is incorrect. It's because road X is the best possible way, not that it is the only way. 'No other convenient road' means there are other roads the person can take, but they may take longer times and reaching the airport is yet a problem again.

No reaching airport is the main issue.
And if some other road would have been available reaching airport in time would have been possible so because of the nature of sentence this answer is correct this sentence expresses no other possibility.

I think it should be [D],because, specially mentioning"road X"...specifies..one of the road's , if given as..only..."on the Road"...then it might be option[B]...wt say??
