In each question below is given a statement followed by two assumptions numbered I and II. You have to consider the statement and the following assumptions and decide which of the assumptions is implicit in the statement.

Statement: "The bridge was built at the cost of Rs. 128 crores and even civil bus service is not utilizing it, what a pity to see it grossly underutilized." - A citizen's view on a new flyover linking east and west sides of a suburb.

  1. The building of such bridges does not serve any public objective.
  2. There has to be some accountability and utility of money spent on public projects.

Explanation:

Implicit can be defined as "always to be found in; essentially connected with" or " suggested though not directly expressed".

'I' assumption should also be included. It relates to the statement. I don't find a reason to exclude it.

Yes but direct relation is not there. Assumption is dirctly related to his statement.

Implicit means " it should imply but not directly" here it is a direct assumption.
