Discussion Forum : Statement and Assumption - Section 5 (Q.No. 7)
Directions to Solve
In each question below is given a statement followed by three assumptions numbered I, II and III. You have to consider the statement and the following assumptions, decide which of the assumptions is implicit in the statement and choose your answer accordingly.
7.
Statement: Bombay people were spellbound, mesmerized and got mad when they saw the famous pop-singer Michael Jackson's hi-tech pulsating megawatt performance.
Assumptions:
- When a show is accompanied with latest technology, it has a magical effect.
- Bombay people were never impressed with performances by Indian musicians.
- Michael Jackson is a super singer.
Answer: Option
Explanation:
The use of the words 'hi-tech pulsating mega-watt performance' in the statement makes I implicit. Nothing is mentioned about the performances of Indian musicians. So, II is not implicit. The facts that Michael Jackson is a pop-singer and his performance left people spellbound make III implicit.

Performance is high-tech pulsating, etc in itself & everyone know who the Michael Jackson is & so for some great Indian musicians but still if people like it then due to performance of Michael Jackson not due to modern gadgets & so it was clear that Bombay people were never so much impressed by Indian musicians & hence my option is correct.
Thank you.
Thank you.

@Vishal jain - Its pretty obvious you are just defending your answer out of pride. Your comment literally makes no sense.
Also only I is implicit because they could have very well been spellbound by the gadgets or his dance moves or the volume of the music, many things other than Michael Jackson singing abilities.
