Statement: Should cottage industries be encouraged in rural areas?
Arguments:
- Yes. Rural people are creative.
- Yes. This would help to solve the problem of unemployment to some extent.
Answer: Option
Explanation:
Clearly, cottage industries need to be promoted to create more job opportunities for rural people in the villages themselves. The reason that rural people are creative is vague. So, only argument II holds.

I think the first argument is weak because it does not matter whether rural people are creative or not they can be employed as manpower and can be trained to do a particular type of work. Even if they are creative that is not going to change the amount of wages they are going to earn.

Rural people always demand for opportunities to earn money. Cottage industry are good option to create employment and if we talk about creativity, rural people are creative and hard worker.

Its not that rural people are not creative. I remember most of the beautiful handicrafts are made by the rural people only.
