Multiply by 3 in each number 1/9*3 then. 1/3 also continue next number same pattern.

Its very simple.
By given: (1/9), (1/3), 1, ____ , 9,..
The series follows: (3^-2), (3^-1), (3^0), (3^1), (3^2), (3^3)..
So answer is : 3^1 = 3.
