It is an alternative adding series but PRIME NUMBERS are not allowed (prime numbers: 2 3 5 7 11 13 17 19 23).
So it followed: 4 6 8 9 10 ...
Then 1027 +(4)+ 1031 +(6)+ 1037 +(8)+ 1045 +(9)+ 1054....
1054+(10) = 1064.
1027 +(4)+ 1031 +(6)+ 1037 +(8)+ 1045 +(9)+ 1054..

Here the difference between 42 and 35 is 7 and 40 and 33 is 7 from above we can say that difference between two numbers having a gap of 2 digits is 7.
By this process, we get answers as 26,24
42-35 = 7.

Now,
33 - 7 = 26.
31 - 7 = 24.

So, the Next number which will come up is 1066.

(38*2)+2 = 78
(78*2)-2 = 154
(154*2) = 2 = 310.
Therefore, the series starts from
(9*2) + 2 = 20.
