Look carefully for the pattern, and then choose which pair of numbers comes next.
15.
61 57 50 61 43 36 61
Answer: Option
Explanation:
This is an alternating repetition series, in which a random number, 61, is interpolated as every third number into an otherwise simple subtraction series. Starting with the second number, 57, each number (except 61) is 7 less than the previous number.

[61] 57 50 [61] 43 36 [61] __ __ and so on.
57 - 14 = 43.
50 - 14 = 36.
==> 43 - 14 = 29; 36 - 14 = 22.
The answer is 29 and 22.
57 - 14 = 43.
50 - 14 = 36.
==> 43 - 14 = 29; 36 - 14 = 22.
The answer is 29 and 22.

Why not 27 and 20? It too has a difference of 7. Please, anyone, tell me.

@Laali .
See in this series first, the fourth and seventh number is identical.
61 57 50 61 43 36 61.
So the difference in second and third number is 7
57-7=50.
Again the difference in fifth and sixth number is 7.
50-7=43
43-7=36.
So after 61 in the seventh position.
36-7=29.
29-7=22.

I think Option b & d can also be correct one. Because they have difference = 7.
Then why you have chosen E as your answer?
Then why you have chosen E as your answer?

@Harshal:
We have to find "which pair of numbers comes next (given direction)".
Given: [61] 57 50 [61] 43 36 [61] __ __ and so on.
57 - 7 = 50
50 - 7 = 43
43 - 7 = 36
36 - 7 = 29 (Required number)
29 - 7 = 22 (Required number)
22 - 7 = 15
15 - 7 = 08 ... and so on.
I hope you understand. Have a nice day!
