We can make chain also. It is direct method.
3.1-1.5=1.6
3.1+1.6=4.7
3.1-1.5=1.6
3.1+1.6=4.7

Take the series as 15, 23, 31, 39...
Adding 8 to the previous number will give the next no.
15+8=23
23+8=31
31+8=39
So, 39+8= 47 for the series 15, 23, 31, 39..
And 4.7 for the series 1.5, 2.3, 3.1, 3.9...

23+8=31
31+8=39
So, 39+8= 47 for the series 15, 23, 31, 39..

Another solution is there.
Just add the digits of the individual number to once digit extent.
Like,
1+5, 2+3, 3+1, 3+9.
6, 5, 4, 3, now is 2 therefore option C is correct as 4+7=11 then 1+1=2 this complete the series.

1.5+0.8 = 2.3.
3.1+0.8 = 3.9.
3.9+0.8 = 4.7.
3.1+0.8 = 3.9.
3.9+0.8 = 4.7.
