It ca be like that,

14*2 = 28
20*2= 40
32*2= 64.

Then the difference between 14and 20 6,
Then between 32 and 20 12,
Then now 18 should be added to 32 then it will be 50.

40-32=8,
64-8=56,
So, 56 is the right answer.

14+ (14) , 28, (28-8) =20, 20+ (20) , 40, (40-8) =32, 32+ (32) , 64, (64-8) =56.
