The method to get the solution is:
14 * 2 = 28.
28 - 8 = 20.
20 * 2 = 40.
40 - 8 = 32.
32 * 2 = 64.
64 - 8 = 56.

Take double of the number and alternatively take difference 8. So the answer is 56.
