Each problem consists of three statements. Based on the first two statements, the third statement may be true, false, or uncertain.

Middletown is north of Centerville.
Centerville is east of Penfield.
Penfield is northwest of Middletown.
If the first two statements are true, the third statement is
Answer: Option
Because the first two statements are true, Penfield is west of Centerville and southwest of Middletown. Therefore, the third statement is false.

It is True. CV is the origin/center, West is PF and South is MT. With the help of diagram, you will see MT and PF are in the area of SOUTHWEST.

Since Centerville is in the southeast, Penfield cannot be in Northwest but in southwest of Middle town.

Let Centerville = CV, Middle Town = MT and Pen Field is PF.

Draw the map and put CW at center.

According to statement 1: MT is placed right above it (North is above center).

According to statement 2: PF will be at west from CV.

Now draw coordinates around the MT and check. You will find that PF lies at South east of MT.
