The call center calls the middle no. i.e. (305/2) = 152.5 say 152 and asks them their name to get an idea of whether to go to up or down side of 152 no directory and suppose person replies some name.
The starting letter of the name will suggest the call center to decide to weather go up or down the name list.
So the process goes like >305->152-->76-->38-->19-->9-->4-->2-->1.
So Minimum time = 9*2 = 18 mins.

Lets solve them sentence by sentence.
First sentence is.
Blueberries cost MORE than strawberries.
If you spot the word more remember make a arrow like.
<------.
The second sentence.
Blueberries cost LESS than raspberries.
Make an arrow like.
------>.
So now we get.
Blueberries <------- strawberries.
Raspberries <------- blueberries.
So raspberries do cost more than strawberries and blueberries.

Blueberries > Strawberries
Blueberries < Raspberries
From these two, we can establish the order:
Raspberries > Blueberries > Strawberries
Now, look at the third statement:
"Raspberries cost more than strawberries and blueberries."
This matches our order:
Raspberries are greater than Blueberries, and Blueberries are greater than Strawberries — so Raspberries are greater than both.
Blueberries < Raspberries
From these two, we can establish the order:
Raspberries > Blueberries > Strawberries

She needs to quickly contact Deepak Sharma to convey a message to him. If each call takes 2 minutes to complete, and every call is answered, what is the minimum amount of time in which she can guarantee to deliver the message to Mr Sharma?

Blueberries cost more than strawberries.
Let suppose blueberries is 100 and strawberry is 10.
Blueberries cost less than raspberries.
Blueberry we already assumed in 100, Let suppose raspberry is 5.
So raspberry costs less both than strawberry n blueberry.
If we would assumed raspberry to be 20 it would ve been less than blueberry but more than strawberry.

Why does everyone provide different and complex solutions to such simple questions because if I got confused by your methods then I'm afraid someone else too might not understand. Let's just stick with the > and <.

Just to throw this out there - If the Raspberries were said pound 1, Blueberries pound 0.90, and Strawberries pound 0.80 then the statement wouldn't be true.
Why shouldn't the actual answer be 'uncertain'?
Why shouldn't the actual answer be 'uncertain'?

It is unclear.
In the third statement, Raspberries cost more than strawberries and blueberries, so we interpret this as R = B + S.
Then, option would be uncertain.

First call will be made to 152 so it should be 2*8. Plus what if we get deepak in between like at 19 and don't need to call further. Can we really calculate this?

What if strawberries and raspberries are the same cost. Blueberry is still cheaper than raspberries and strawberry?
Then, the answer should be uncertain.
