Statement: A large number of people die every year due to drinking polluted water during the summer.

Courses of Action:

1. The government should make adequate arrangements to provide safe drinking water to all its citizens.
2. The people should be educated about the dangers of drinking polluted water.

Only I follows
Only II follows
Either I or II follows
Neither I nor II follows
Both I and II follow
Explanation:
The situation demands creating awareness among people about the dangers of drinking polluted water so that they themselves refrain from the same, and at the same time taking steps to provide safe drinking water. So, both the courses follow.

No one is drinking polluted water by choice, but by compulsion. What will they drink if they don't have clean water?

So, You can't go and say " don't drink this water unless you provide them with an alternative. It is the job of govt.

I disagree with the answer. Actually what will people do if Government is providing polluted water to them. Awareness will not do anything. They don't have any option to drink polluted water.

I have some point to say on above statement:

I assume only action 1 follows,
And action 2: I little bit disagree, i.e because creating awareness is not easy but time consuming.

I agree on the first course of action because the govt Can not create awareness for the consumption of drinking water. Govt Can provide only safe drinking water.

Why both option is correct, it is talking about "polluted water during the summer" so govt responsibility is that to make safe water for people.

The immediate step to be taken for improvement of problem will be option 1.
