In each question below is given a statement followed by three courses of action numbered I, II and III. You have to assume everything in the statement to be true, then decide which of the three given suggested courses of action logically follows for pursuing.

Statement: A large number of students studying in municipal schools could not pass the Xth Std. Board examination causing frustration among the students and their parents.
Courses of Action:
- The Municipal authority should immediately review the position and initiate measures to improve the situation.
- The municipal authority should immediately fill up the teachers' vacancies in the municipal schools.
- The municipal authority should close down some of their schools and concentrate their attention on remaining schools to improve the conditions.
Answer: Option
Explanation:
Such problems can best be dealt with by first detecting the lackenings in the existing system and then taking adequate steps to remove them. So, only I follows.

Of course the expalnation you have given may be correct but though the lackenings are detected the teachers should be there to teach the students and I think lack of teachers are also a major lackening.

The question is about logic only, isn't it? I agree that " Such problems can best be dealt with by first detecting the lackenings in the existing system and then taking adequate steps to remove them ", however, option III is logical as well. And in some circumstances it might be a good idea.

I believe the correct option is A. Filling teacher vacancies is essential to improving the situation.
Additionally, conducting a thorough analysis and responding appropriately is also necessary.
