Logical Reasoning - Course of Action - Discussion
Discussion Forum : Course of Action - Section 3 (Q.No. 11)
Directions to Solve
In each question below is given a statement followed by three courses of action numbered I, II and III. You have to assume everything in the statement to be true, then decide which of the three given suggested courses of action logically follows for pursuing.
11.
Statement: Lack of coordination between the University, its colleges and various authorities has resulted in students ousted from one college seeking migration to another.
Courses of Action:
- If a student is ousted from a college, the information should be sent to all the other colleges of the University
- The admissions to all the colleges of the University should be handled by the University directly.
- A separate section should be made for taking strict action against students indulging in anti-social activities.
Answer: Option
Explanation:
Clearly, the issue is not so big as to allot all powers of admissions to colleges, to the University only. So, II does not follow. The problem can be solved by circulating the information of the ousted students to all the colleges so as to ensure that such students do not get admission elsewhere also. This might prove useful in rectifying such students. So, I follows while III does not.

Option D should be the answer.

Option A stands irrelevant as the statement itself says lack of coordination is there. How can the information of ousted students will be handled with full coordination then. Option 2 if correct, as per my opinion.

I think option D is correct because it is better to have a separate department to handle the issues.

Option 2 is best as student, is already enrolled in university, doesn't take admission again.

I think option 2 is the best option to tackle this type of problem. If an university start to take admission that will be more effective.
Option 1 is irrelevant and time consuming and also less effective. In present time when corruption is everywhere one can take admission in other colleges also.

It is clearly stated in the question that the problem is the lack of communication between colleges and university. So clearly keeping this is mind and considering the seriousness of the problem it should be made a centralised process instead of every individual college circulating news as this may take time and might not be effective as well. So option 2 is a far better option.

If the Uni directly handles all the admission there would be no need to pass the information to all of the collages. From economic standpoint I option is way worse than II.

I think course of action should be to solve the problem. So the option 2 should be the correct answer. Why should student suffer?

May be the answer is 1 and 3 statements because many students who does mischievous things in college which cannot be tolerated they will ousted. But removing one student or two does not resolve the problem so university has to send the information of ousted students to all universities and also take further steps to resolve any problems in future. !

There is no need to report or so. At present times, in evey college, there are students who are approachable espcly like minister's childrens etc. Torture other studennts, that might result into killings and accidents. And life is most important, not college is important. If 1 closed, 10 colleges can be opened, does not matter but we can't return life. Mind my words.
