Logical Reasoning - Course of Action - Discussion
Discussion Forum : Course of Action - Section 3 (Q.No. 5)
Directions to Solve
In each question below is given a statement followed by three courses of action numbered I, II and III. You have to assume everything in the statement to be true, then decide which of the three given suggested courses of action logically follows for pursuing.
Statement: There is an unprecedented increase in the production of wheat this kharif season in most parts of the country.
Courses of Action:
- The government should immediately lower down the procurement price of wheat.
- The farmers should be asked to store the excess produces with themselves to be used for future.
- The government should make its best efforts to export wheat to augment its presence in international market.
Clearly, both steps I and II are not commercially viable for the farmers. So, none of them follows. The only solution lies in the government attempting to export the excess produce of wheat. Thus, only III follows.

All 3 aren't bad options. Yes. There's a need to LOWER the wheat prices. So does farmers need to keep a BUFFER stock? And finally, we need to increase our EXPORT.
