- A large number of candidates submitted applications against an advertisement for the post of manager issued by a bank.

Bank manager can not be young people. So answer should be I think D. The effect of an effect of an economic meltdown while 2 could be the effect of some manager retiring transferring. Hence they are effects of independent causes.

According to me answer 4 this question is c since there is no relation b/w bloom in unemployment and advertisement related to bank.

The first statement mentions "young" which indicates they could be fresh grads. A "manager" in the second statement cannot be a fresh grad.

As to me, I can assume the population is blooming or there was an blooming birth rate decades a ago, causing many youth unemployed and also causing many competitors for only one job. This is very common in China and any other Country with a huge population.

According to me the answer is (c) as there occurs no relation between the two sentences. No of youth employes have increased doesn't shows any reason for the increase and the no of employees submitting applications for the same post. These two are independent causes.
