I think the answer should be 'B'.
As the car is used in modern time and cart was used in the old time. So, the computer is used now and television was used earlier before the invention of the computer.

The answer should be B as the computer is used to get a virtual or digital display of information which was earlier done by television.
Same as the function of a car i.e. travelling was earlier done by horse and buggy.

In the past period we used to travel by cart. And also. We used to communicate through letters, i.e. with pen and ink. Now through computer and internet. Hope this will make you understand.

I also thought B as the correct answer at the very 1st instant because in earlier days B/W tv was the mode o communication and now computer is widely used. Pen n paper doesn't make sense.

We can think in a way that, car is recent trend and horse and buggy is the old trend. In the same way computer is the new trend and television as old trend.

Here; television and computer may categorize as "technology" as the car and horse can be as "transportation". Just want to justify may answer haha.

Yes, the Answer must be 2 (b) because not the only computer is used for writing purpose. How can the answer be pen and ink.
