It depends on the situation, I would lie for the company. Firstly, I would try to resolve that problem laying is not the solution to the problem. It is harming the company in future.

I will try my best not to lie to the company but if the problem persist and in anyhow if it helps to the growth of the company by not harming any of the assets in the company I will lie and I will make sure that everything performed correctly and will be at balanced after my lies exposed.

It's completely depending upon the situation. At that time, I will consider the company reputation and the disadvantages. But lying is not a good option. Because you have face consequences in the future. And the trust is most expensive thing in life. Once it broken we can't correct it.
