Hard work is pressing the backspace repeatedly to delete the entire word document. Whereas smart work is pressing Control + A and then delete.

According to me, basically, there is no difference. Without doing any hard work you can't do a smart work. And when someone says you are a smart worker then obviously you are doing some hard work and it's the result of that hard work.
