Hard work means more related with physically, mentally, etc. And it is all about our will to do something.

Smart work means what are the strategies we used to achieve our goal.

One of the best example that I have from my childhood is hard work is like a staircase and smart work is like a lift, you may fail or get stuck sometimes but for sure I don't have much time and energy to choose a staircase.

The difference between hard work and smart work is based on how I approach my task. Hard work would be spending long hours to complete my work without any shortcuts. Smart work would be aiming for the same results but with planning and prioritization of tasks.

According to me, both hard work & smart work gives the best result. But without hard work, smart work is not possible because hard work gives you experience and smart work comes with experience.
